About Rachel Joy

I’m an author, artist, and Technical Program Manager with more than two decades of experience turning vision into reality, both in the boardroom and in life.

I am also a woman shaped by faith, fueled by curiosity, and devoted to transformation. And someone who believes deeply that we are not here to live passively. We are here to create.

A Spirit-Filled Foundation

I was raised in a charismatic Christian home rooted in love, devotion, and a strong sense of spiritual certainty. Faith was not theoretical in my upbringing; it was alive. It was embodied. It was Spirit-led.

One verse that has anchored my life is Romans 12:2: “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” The Greek word used for “transformed” is metamorphoō – a complete inner metamorphosis. Long before I studied neuroscience, mindset theory, or leadership frameworks, I understood that transformation begins in the mind.

Another guiding scripture has been Proverbs 25:2:
“It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings.”

To me, this speaks to a sacred partnership — truth is revealed through seeking. Growth is not passive. It is pursued.

Today, my language has evolved, but my roots remain. I often use the word “Universe” where others might say “God.” I speak of meditation rather than prayer. I send good vibes. I see Jesus as love embodied. I believe we are spiritual beings having a physical experience. And I believe that sincerity of heart matters more than perfect phrasing.

My faith expanded — it did not disappear.

It matured into a modern, inclusive, growth-centered philosophy that honors wisdom across traditions while remaining grounded in the transformational truths I was raised on.

And perhaps most fitting for a writer, I’ve always been moved by the opening of the Gospel of John:
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

Words create worlds.

That belief lives at the center of my writing.

Author of Uplift Your Life

I am the author of Uplife Your Life, a transformational guide designed to help individuals move from confusion to clarity and from intention to implementation. The book distills more than 22 years of immersive study in personal development, leadership, mindset, and human potential.

The book distills more than 22 years of immersive study in personal development, leadership, psychology, spirituality, and human potential. I have invested over 10,000 hours studying and applying the teachings of influential thought leaders across disciplines, extracting what works, refining it through lived experience, and integrating it into structured, actionable frameworks.

Uplife Your Life bridges inner renewal and practical execution. It honors the spiritual principle of transformation while delivering the structure necessary to build tangible results.

In short: vision without execution is fantasy. Execution without vision is burnout.

Technical Program Manager & Strategic Leader

Professionally, I bring more than 20 years of experience leading complex programs and cross-functional initiatives across globally recognized organizations including The Walt Disney Company, Boeing, Starbucks, Microsoft, and Alaska Airlines.

As a certified project and program management professional, I specialize in turning high-level vision into executable strategy. My background in technical program management allows me to bridge the gap between big ideas and real-world implementation, a skill that uniquely shapes my approach to personal growth and leadership development.

This background uniquely informs my approach to personal development. Transformation is not just emotional inspiration — it requires clarity, sequencing, measurable action, and disciplined follow-through.

I understand how to take something from idea to implementation — whether that’s a multimillion-dollar corporate initiative or a personal reinvention.

Artist & Creative Thinker

Creativity is not a hobby for me, it’s something my soul begs to do.

For more than a decade, I’ve painted hundreds of canvases, transforming blank spaces into expressive works of art. My artistic practice has deeply influenced my philosophy on life: nothing is static, everything can be layered, refined, reimagined, and elevated.

If a painting doesn’t turn out as expected, I don’t discard it, I evolve it.

Life works the same way.

This blend of structure and creativity, strategy and soul, and is what makes my voice distinctive. I operate at the intersection of analytical precision and intuitive insight.

My Mission

I write for those who feel capable of more.

Those who are successful on paper but restless inside.

Those who sense there’s a bigger life waiting, and are ready to build it.

My mission is to empower individuals (and honestly myself) to shift from passive observers (it’s a daily practice) to active creators of their ideal lives. To move from hoping to building. From wishing to designing.

Because energy flows where attention goes.

And when you want something, you have to name it, claim it, and take aligned action… this or something better.

Thrilled when I sold my Colorful Deer

At the heart of everything I create is this belief: when something speaks to you, you follow it.

One of my favorite pieces, a vibrant, soulful deer, came from a moment of pure inspiration. I was making a margarita recipe when I noticed the deer on the bottle. It felt powerful, peaceful… and it stayed with me.

I couldn’t ignore it. So I didn’t. I brought it to life with bold color and intention, letting each brushstroke guide me. Energy flows where attention goes, and I could feel there was something different about this piece from the very beginning.

And then something unexpected happened… I accidentally sold it twice.

To me, it felt like a sign, a reflection of the energy behind the work, and a reminder that I was exactly where I was meant to be. Creating from inspiration. Trusting what I feel. Following what calls me.

That painting was never just mine. It was meant to be felt. To be seen. To find its way to the people it was created for. And I loved being able to pass that energy on.

That’s how I intend to live. That’s how I create.

I follow what calls me.
I trust what I feel.
And I believe when we let our own light shine, we give others permission to do the same.
